(No need to print this, may be shown on your phone)
When collecting your vehicle you will be required to leave a security deposit
on your payment card.

Your fuel options will be explained on collection. As a general rule you will save money choosing 'Full to Full' and filling the vehicle up yourself prior to its return.

Fees and Taxes
All taxes are included in this price.
Your first additional driver is included at no extra cost.
Admin fees: Please also be aware that most suppliers charge administration fees following damages or for processing fines. autoUnion charge a €31 EUR administration fee per incident should there be any accidents, theft or parking/traffic infringements.
When collecting the car, the lead and any additional drivers must present their full, valid driver's license. Photocopies are not accepted. You must have had your license for at least 1 year and all drivers must be aged between 23 and 75.
All licenses issed within the European Community are accepted. Any driver with a license from outside the EC must also bring an International Driver's Permit.
AutoUnion accept most major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Diners and American Express). The card must be in the lead driver's name. No other forms of payment (Pre-paid credit cards, Laser, Maestro, debit, or Switch cards) are accepted at the collection desk but you may use debit cards or cash to pay the final bill when the rental is over..
Once your paperwork has been inspected, you will be asked to sign a Rental Agreement. This is a contract between you and the car hire company and contains the terms and conditions for your rental. The agreement may include some location-specific conditions as well as setting out the limitations of any cover you have and the extra costs you may be liable for. You will be given the keys once you and any additional drivers have signed the agreement but don't rush, once you've signed you are legally bound to the terms of that document.
Cross Border Rules
autoUnion do not allow their vehicles to be taken to other countries outside Greece but some ferry travel is permitted to islands where autoUnion have an office. Be aware that you will need to purchase additional insurance to take the vehicle on a ferry at a cost of €74.40
autoUnion ask that you contact them with your ferry travel plans at least 2 working days prior to collection so that the extra insurance can be arranged.
If you are delayed and will be more than 2 hours late for collection or arriving near to closing time, autoUnion ask that you contact your collection office and inform them of the delay or your booking may be cancelled. If you are late arriving at an airport due to a delayed flight and you have given your flight number, autoUnion will make best efforts to remain open until you arrive.
autoUnion charge a €26 out of hours service fee for all collections taking place between 21:00 and 07:30.
Insurance and Cover
Included in the price
This product includes Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) with Theft Protection and Third Party Liability Cover. This means that you are insured for damage to or theft of the vehicle and also against any third party claims but you will pay an excess on any claims.
autoUnion's standard Roadside Assistance includes free callouts for many issues that are normally only covered when you have purchased an extra "Premium Roadside Assistance" product. This means that if you run out of fuel, have a flat battery or can't change a tyre, you can use their roadside assistance for free.
In any situation, you are not covered for damage or loss as a result of violating the conditions set out in your rental agreement.
Some parts of the vehicle are not covered by your insurance including the underneath and roof of the vehicle, clutch, glass, mirrors, tyres and wheels, upholstery and keys. You can purchase the extra "Wheels, Underside and Glass" (WUG) product at the collection desk. Also be aware that you are not covered when taking the vehicle on a ferry - additional cover for this can be purchased at the collection desk (you are advised to request this in advance).
There is a €31 EUR administration fee to be paid following any damages.
This vehicle comes with basic cover for theft or damage to the vehicle. Should there be any damage, you will be liable for up to €700 inclusive of taxes. If you would prefer to have a lower excess, you can add extra cover once your vehicle is selected.
Please pay attention to the procedure for reporting an incident which will be explained in your rental agreement at the collection desk. Failing to follow this procedure could result in you being liable for the full value of the claim.
All autoUnion vehicles are supplied on a Full to Full basis meaning that the vehicle will be full when you collect it and should be returned full to avoid further charges. autoUnion do not have a service charge for re-fuelling but the price per litre may be higher than you would pay if you were to refuel yourself.
There is no option to pre-pay your tank of fuel and avoid having to refuel.
autoUnion vehicles come with 1 free additional driver included in the price.
You can add more drivers at the collection desk. Each driver must be present with their driver's license (and International Driver's License if required) PLUS their Passport or (EU) National Identity Card.
When driving in Greece, any child who is less than 11 years or 135cm tall must use a child restraint appropriate to their size.. autoUnion provide infant, child and booster seats.
GPS devices, roof racks and, for some locations and times of the year, snow chains are also available. All extras can be requested and paid for at the collection desk although we recommend you contact your collection office a few days prior to arrival to check availability of any essential items.
Delivery and Collection
autoUnion provide a vehicle delivery/collection service for all hotels, ports and bus/railway stations. The cost for this is €24.80 each way. To arrange this service, you will first need to confirm your booking and then you can contact your collection office with your reference number. Please give at least two working days notice.
Changes to length of rental
On returning the vehicle you will have a 1 hour grace period for late returns before you will be charged for a whole, additional day's rental. If you decide to return the vehicle much earlier than the booked return date and time, there will be no extra charge for this but nor will you be refunded for any unused days.
To extend your rental once you're in possesion of the vehicle you can simply phone or email your autoUnion office who will check the vehicle availability for you.
It is free to cancel your booking at any time until 48 hours before collecting the vehicle. Once within 48 hours of collection, you will not be able to cancel your booking and any payments made cannot be refunded.
If you wish to make changes to your booking, you will most likely be required to cancel and rebook. There is no cost for cancellations. If you only wish to change your flight or phone number, you can email our customer services team on email@example.com.
Refunds after vehicle collection
The suppler may refuse collection of your vehicle for reasons such as not being fit to drive, missing required identification or not having the correc type of payment card in the lead driver's name with sufficient funds available. In the event of such a refusal, no payments made will be refunded.
The supplier does not offer credit or refunds for early returns of the vehicle.
In the event of "Delayed Charges" (fines, motorway tolls, failing to refuel, extra days, damages, loss and any associated admin charges), your Security Deposit may only be part-refunded.
Unless we indicate a "guaranteed model", vehicles are reserved by class of vehicle and not by make and model. The vehicles displayed are the commonly used models for our partners in your chosen country. If that particular vehicle is not available, the supplier will typically offer another vehicle of the same or higher class at no additional cost.
If you are travelling with disabled passengers, be sure to forward your confirmation email to firstname.lastname@example.org with any special requirements and we will forward these to the supplier for you. We can't offer any guarantees that they will be able to help but we're happy to try. If you're collecting from an airport, providing your flight number will help.
