The email will include directions to the car hire collection desk and opening hours. If your rental includes car hire insurance, all of the documentation will be included with the email
Picking up at the airport but not sure what your flight number is? No Problem - you can book your rental now and add the flight number to your booking later on. Adding your flight number will help the car rental provider to wait for you if your flight is delayed. You should check the terms and conditions to understand what you need to do if your flight is delayed or cancelled.

All of our rentals in Uganda include a full to full fuel policy. You'll collect the car with a full tank and be asked to leave a small deposit for fuel when you collect the car. The deposit is refunded when you return the car with a full tank.

Car rentals in Uganda are usually fully insured with an excess amount. You can either purchase Essential cover for the excess or choose Premium cover to reduce the excess amount to zero. We clearly explain all of the insurance details every step of the way.
To collect your car the lead driver should present a Valid driver's license, Passport or National Identity Card, Credit or debit card in the lead driver's name, Home and local (hotel, villa etc) address and a Booking confirmation email. Any other requirements at collection will be clearly explained in your booking confirmation email.
Along with being easy to use, friendly and of course, stress free, we also offer two different levels of insurance when you hire a vehicle with us.
Essential Cover comes with key cover, flushing the engine after misfuelling, damage caused to the vehicle, theft, weather and fire and more.
Essential cover doesn't cover things like loss of theft/damage to content in the car, third party injury mechanical repairs, cleaning fees. For more info see the terms and conditions on the extras page of the website
Essential cover appears as an option in the car hire insurance section. For some partner/geographical car rental combinations the cover isn't always available.
Essential cover, offered at the same time as you make your car hire booking, is a car hire excess reimbursement policy which covers you on a selection of extra costs that standard insurance does not.
Premium cover is the highest option for car hire cover we offer.
On our website it's possible to buy Premium Cover along with your vehicle rental, so that you know the total price of everything before you pay.
Lots of our customers choose the Premium Cover option when they're are hiring a vehicle because it usually reduces the excess to zero meaning that the customer has no large security deposit or car hire insurance excess risk. You can also often collect the car using debit cards with Premium Cover if using a credit card is a problem.

One thing to think about when deciding if you should use a debit card at the collection desk, car rental companies sometimes block an excess on the lead drivers credit card, the credit card hold can be a large amount of money , if you choose to pay using debit card this can be debited from your bank and not returned until a couple of weeks following completion of your rental contract.
When you include Basic or Essential Cover with your rental, this usually means that you will have to have a credit card in the name of the lead driver on collection of the car. You will usually be given the opportunity to buy a top up policy by the hire company at the collection desk, which then allows you to use a debit card in the name of the lead driver.
Most of the Uganda car rental companies we include will accept a debit card when you pick up the car; some of these do have different terms and conditions related to them. Be careful to understand the terms and conditions if you'd like to use a debit card at the desk when collecting the car.
