At a glance
When collecting the vehicle, the lead driver must present the following:
- Valid and clean driver's license
(You must have had your license for at least 2 years, have no major endorsements in the past 5 years and have no at-fault insurance claims in the past 36 months. Minor offences such as speeding and traffic signals are acceptable up to a maximum of 6 points)
- Credit or debit* card in lead driver's name
(Your card must be in the lead driver's name and cannot expire in the month following your collection date.
* Debit cards may only be used when one of Easirent's zero-excess cover options (such as "Relax Zero") is purchased. If needed, you will be able to buy this cover at the collection desk. You must also be 25 or older and show proof of employment such as a wage slip. You may not use a debit card on luxury/premium vehicles (e.g. Mercedes C or E class, BMW 5 series) or on 9-seater passenger vans).
- Booking confirmation email
- UK Renters: DVLA License Summary Check Code and two proofs of home address
(License summary report must have been issued in the past 72 hours. Proofs of address can be bank/card statement and/or utility bills, both dated no more than 3 months prior to your collection date)
- Non-UK Renters: Passport, return flight information and, if your license is not written in English, an International Driver's Permit
- Recommended: Proof of employment (e.g. wage slip)
(Usually this is only asked for when paying by debit card but we recommend you have this ready just in case)
When collecting your vehicle you will be required to leave a security deposit
on your payment card.

Reducing your deposit
Easirent also offer a premium level of cover (their "Relax Zero cover") which
will lower the size of the deposit to £0 GBP plus fuel deposit.
To include this in your booking, look to add Premium Cover on our Extras page.
Full to full - Your vehicle should be full when you collect and you will be charged a £95 deposit for this which will be refunded so long as you fill the tank up prior to returning the vehicle.
If you would prefer not to refuel when returning the vehicle, you can opt to pre-pay the fuel at the collection desk.
Your mileage is limited to 100 miles per day.
Excess mileage is usually charged at 30p per mile except vans (20p per mile) or if you are travelling overseas (50p per mile).
You may upgrade to unlimited mileage at the collection desk or by choosing a product with premium cover (which Easirent call "Relax Zero")..
Fees and Taxes
All taxes are included in this rate.
Easirent charge a £75 admin fee following any theft or damage claims.
Easirent operate a shuttle bus at this airport but we still recommend that you phone your collection office as you enter the arrivals hall as they will be able to advise on when the next bus is due. Easirent's directions are as follows...

Easirent will not rent vehicles to anyone aged less than 23 years old. All drivers must have had their license for at least 2 years and cannot have had any at-fault claims or accidents in the past 36 months.
If you have had any major endorsements, bans or convictions in the past 5 years you may be unable to rent. Minor offences such as speeding and traffic signals are acceptable up to a maximum of 6 points. Please contact us for clarification.
If you do not produce a valid DVLA license check code (issued in the past 72 hours), you will be charged £10 per driver to get the new code. You will be asked for your National Insurance number as part of this.
Easirent accept all major credit cards. Please ensure the card is in the lead driver's name and will not expire within 1 month of your collection date.
Debit cards are accepted but only when Easirent's zero-excess cover is purchased. You must also be 25 or older and show 2 proofs of address PLUS proof of employment (e.g. wage slip).
Cash is not permitted in any circumstance.
Once your paperwork has been inspected, you will be asked to sign a Rental Agreement. This is a contract between you and the car hire company and contains the terms and conditions for your rental. The agreement may include some location-specific conditions as well as setting out the limitations of any cover you have and the extra costs you may be liable for. You will be given the keys once you and any additional drivers have signed the agreement but don't rush, once you've signed you are legally bound to the terms of that document.
Cross Border Rules
Easirent vehicles hired in the UK may be taken to Europe (including Republic of Ireland) but you will have to pay a one-off charge of £125 plus £20 per day for the additional insurance. Travel between mainland UK and Northern Ireland is subject to the same charge. Also, the standard breakdown cover does not include cross-border travel so you must either show proof of additional Euro 5 star breakdown cover (purchased separately by yourself) or buy from Easirent at the collection desk.
Travel by ferry to the islands of the UK (Isle of Wight etc) is permitted but you may need to arrange additional breakdown cover if you travel to a location where Easirent do not have an office.
Note: Mileage: Please be aware that if your vehicle is shown as having Unlimited Mileage, this does not apply when you take the vehicle across borders. All cross-border rentals are limited to 100 miles per day for the entirety of the rental.
Easirent ask that all customers contact their collection office as soon as they know they will be late. This is especially important if you will be late by more than 1 hour or arriving outside normal opening hours.
If you will be arriving after normal hours and the branch has agreed to remain open for you, please be aware that the standard Out Of Hours charge is £40 per hour.
Insurance and Cover
Included in the price
This product includes Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) with Theft Protection and Third Party Liability Cover. This means that you are insured for damage to or theft of the vehicle and also against any third party claims. Should there be a claim, you will be liable up to the value of the excess payment unless additional insurance is taken out.
Roadside Assistance is provided but you may be liable for the costs should you deemed to be at fault.
Easirent do not include coverage for damage to glass/windscreens or wheels and tyres in their standard or "Relax Zero" cover; for this you would need to purchase their separate "Tyre and Window" product at the collection desk.
It also does not include any Personal Insurance for you and your passengers which would cover you in the unfortunate case of injury, medical expenses and death, or loss of or damage to possessions when using the vehicle.
There is a damage administration fee of £75 which is charged following any damage to the vehicle (unless Easirents additional insurance is taken out).
This vehicle comes with basic cover for theft or damage to the vehicle.
Should there be any claims, you will be liable for up to £1500 inclusive of taxes.
Both Stress Free and the supplier offer excess protection products to provide extra cover for this.
Please pay attention to the procedure for reporting an incident which will be explained in your rental agreement at the collection desk. Failing to follow this procedure could result in you being liable for the full value of the claim.
Depending on the supplier, you will typically have two choices when it comes to paying for fuel.
- Full to Full: This is usually the most cost effective option. The vehicle will be fuill when you collect and you must fill it up again just prior to return. If you select this policy and do not re-fill the vehicle, the supplier will charge you for the fuel you have used at a price that is often higher than would be charged at a local service station.
- Pre-paid: This is the most convenient option. You pre-pay your tank of fuel (including a service charge) which means you collect the vehicle full and can return it empty at no extra charge. Note that you will not be refunded for fuel you do not use. Some suppliers give us the "pre-paid" rate where we include this in your price but usually we offer "Full to Full" and you would ask to pre-pay your tank at the collection desk.

Additional drivers are added at the time of collection for £10 per day (or £7 per day for spouse or life-partners). All additional drivers are subject to the same identity and age requirements as the lead driver..
The supplier offers the following options for child and infant seats:
- Baby Seat - for children aged 0 to 4 years. Prices are 1-4 days £16.99 per day, 5-11 days £13.99pd, 12+ days £10.99pd
- Booster Seat - 4+ years. Prices are 1-4 days £10.99 per day, 5-11 days £8.99pd, 12+ days £6.99pd
GPS units are also available with prices as follows: 1-4 days £15.99 per day, 5-11 days £12.99pd, 12+ days £9.99pd
All extras should be requested as part of your booking and are paid for on collection. If you do book an extra but then wish to have it removed, you must inform Easirent prior to collection.
Changes to length of rental
On returning the vehicle you will have a 29 minute grace period for late returns before you will be charged for a whole, additional day's rental.
Once you have the vehicle, it may be possible to extend your rental by simpy phoning your return office but this is subject to vehicle availability.
It is free to cancel your booking at any time until 48 hours before collecting the vehicle. Once within 48 hours of collection, you will not be able to cancel your booking and any payments made cannot be refunded.
If you wish to make changes to your booking, you will most likely be required to cancel and rebook. There is no cost for cancellations. If you only wish to change your flight or phone number, you can email our customer services team on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Refunds after vehicle collection
The suppler may refuse collection of your vehicle for reasons such as not being fit to drive, missing required identification or not having the correc type of payment card in the lead driver's name with sufficient funds available. In the event of such a refusal, no payments made will be refunded.
The supplier does not offer credit or refunds for early returns of the vehicle.
In the event of "Delayed Charges" (fines, motorway tolls, failing to refuel, extra days, damages, loss and any associated admin charges), your Security Deposit may only be part-refunded.
Unless we indicate a "guaranteed model", vehicles are reserved by class of vehicle and not by make and model. The vehicles displayed are the commonly used models for our partners in your chosen country. If that particular vehicle is not available, the supplier will typically offer another vehicle of the same or higher class at no additional cost.
If you are travelling with disabled passengers, be sure to forward your confirmation email to email@example.com with any special requirements and we will forward these to the supplier for you. We can't offer any guarantees that they will be able to help but we're happy to try. If you're collecting from an airport, providing your flight number will help.
