OK Mobility Rent A Car

Having been established in 2010, OK Mobility Rent a Car are a relatively young company based in Mallorca and offer vehicles for hire throughout Spain, Italy and Portugal. As part of the larger OK group of mobility and tourism companies, the rent a car business has had much growth and success in recent years and now covers over 30 offices, including an expansion into Greece.

The OK fleet is refreshed regularly so you can be assured to receive a near-new car. They also have a wide range of vehicles available including convertible, premium, electric, SUV, compact and family vehicles.

OK is a popular choice for customers who want a modern vehicle and quality service but don't mind spending a little extra time on a shuttle bus to reach the office for the money it saves on your car hire. We're also able to sell OK's zero-excess cover – just make sure to scroll down to the "Stress Free" options where the vehicles are listed.

How to rent a car with Ok Mobility Rent A Car including Unlimited Mileage

We offer both unlimited and limited mileage rentals.

Limited mileage rentals are often less expensive than unlimited. For limited mileage rentals, the mileage limit is always clearly visibile. If you choose a rental with limited mileage, you will be charged a per mile additional fee if you exceed the daily mileage allowance. If you opt for a limited mileage car hire, it's receommended to check the costs for excess mileage. You can find these in our term and conditions section. Hiring a car with Ok Mobility Rent A Car without an Excess Held on Your Credit Card

The excess is the amount you'd be liable to pay if the car is stolen, written off or severely damaged. The excess on rental cars can be very expensive. It's often between £1,000 to £2,200. If you return the car damaged, or it's stolen or written off, you will have to pay up to the total amount of the excess.

On collection of the hire car, the insurance excess is held on your credit card as a 'pre authorised' transaction. This means that the amount is not charged to your card as a normal transaction, it's held as a pending payment until you return the vehicle. You won't normally have to pay foreign currency charges on credit cards for pre authorised transactions. As long as the rental car is dropped off in the same condition as when it was collected, this excess amount will be fully refunded to your credit card without anything further to pay.

If you plan to pay by debit card, the excess amount is taken from your bank account and refunded when the car is dropped off. If you plan to use debit card on collection, as the excess is often high, it's recommended to buy Premium Cover on our website or to pay for top up cover at the rental desk.

To view rental options with a £0 or reduced insurance excess take a look at our Premium Cover options.

Car rental jargon

Hire car excess

Rental car excess
For rentals outside of the US and Canada there's almost always an insurance excess held on your card* - this is similar to the excess on domestic car insurance in the UK. The excess on rental cars is high. It's normally in the region of £1,200 to £2,500. If you decide not to insure the insurance excess amount you could be liable to pay for damage to the car up to the excess . Take a look at the Premium Cover car hire options if you'd like to avoid having a large amount held on your credit card when you collect the car.

Excess reimbursement insurance

Choosing excess cover ensures you'll be reimbursed for any of the excess that's held on your credit card by the car rental company .

This insurance also usually covers other potential costs, like cleaning, towing, admin fees and misfuelling fees.
Essential Cover

Third party liability insurance

Third party liability cover
Third party liability insurance provides protection in case you cause an accident. If you do, it might injure or kill others (such as your passengers, people in other vehicles or pedestrians), or damage property (their vehicle, house or possessions, for example). Since they need to be protected, you'd be responsible the cost of any damage, or treating any injuries or covering loss of earnings, as well as any legal fees and court costs.

Third party liability is usually subject to an excess, this means you'll need to pay the first part of any claim (normally between £850 to £1,700, depending on the value of the car, the country and the deal). When you cover your excess amount, you will be refunded for any or all of the excess amount you have to pay. If you decide to take out Premium Cover, the excess amount is often reduced to zero.

Additional driver costs

A car hire agreement is between the hire car company and the one person that signs the contract and will be the main driver. This requires that you will need to ask for other drivers to be added, this usually comes with a cost (which can be up to £12a day ). However, there are occasional special offers where extra drivers are free. Beware of being asked if you'd like to include a driver without being told the price.
Additional driver costs

Damage Liability

CDW (Collision damage waiver)
CDW provides insurance protection for damage in a similar way the insurance you usually have on your own vehicle does. It includes an excess amount which you can insure with an additional policy (See Excess reimbursement insurance). Stress Free Car Rental also list cars on the site that include CDW with a zero excess

Fuel policy (full to full vs full to empty)

The rentals on our site always come with a fair full to fuel fuel policy.

You'll be required to hold a deposit for fuel on a credit card when you pick up the rental. Ensure that you fill the rental up and drop it off full and there will be nothing further to pay for fuel.

You might find full to empty fuel policies on some other sites that seem to be offering lower cost deals. Always check the terms and conditions for full to empty rentals as the admin and refuelling fees included with full to empty fuel policies always make it more expensive than full to full fuel policies.
Fuel policy (full to full vs full to empty)

Theft liability insurance (theft protection)

Theft liability insurance (theft protection)
Theft liability insures the amount due if the rental car is stolen. It usually includes an excess amount, this means you'll have to pay the first part of an insurance claim (usually between £900 to £2,000, depending on the car, the country and the deal.

When you insure your excess , however, you'll be refunded for any or all of of the excess you have to pay (See our essential cover). Or with Premium Cover the excess is often reduced to zero.
